Title: Build Data Analyst

Location: London, Ontario

Pay: $20/hr.

The Role: 

As a Build Data Analyst, your focus is to ensure that the Build Data information we get from OEM Manufacturers flows into our data warehouse efficiently and correctly. This includes ensuring the data matches up to our VIN and Automotive data in such a way to accurately categorize vehicles for our Description Services. There will a significant amount of cross-departmental work and communication in this position, which can include assisting on sales calls or presentations. This role will require analytical and trouble shooting skills to track issues that cross multiple vehicle data sets, to determine where the root issue is as well as identifying solutions. These solutions could include data or development recommendations, or a combination of both. A Build Data Analyst is ultimately responsible to ensure the Autodata/Chrome Data content “Gold Standard”.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze source documents and feeds from the manufacturer to identify discrepancies, inaccuracies, or missing content
• Ability to walk through issues where build data doesn’t correctly tie to configuration data
• Comfortable proposing solutions to the Data, Product and Development teams
• Accurately enter and/or test VIN level data
• Be part of the project team that integrates Manufacturer build data into our system for consumption
• Able to navigate and utilize appropriate query software (Kibana Elasticsearch Queries)
• Generate and present queries, reports and dashboards to help identify data, product and feed issues
• Demonstrate the ability to work in cross-departmental projects
• May work on special projects, depending upon available resources and appropriate skill levels
• Receive and respond to customer reports of errors, and proactively respond with corrections and status updates in a professional manner 

Qualifications:

• Able to work well under pressure and to excel in a constantly changing environment
• Strong self-management and analytical abilities
• Very high accuracy and attention to detail is required and must be demonstrated in decision making and entry of information
• Experience trouble shooting problems
• Computer skills – MS office, excel, word
• Post-secondary education would be an asset
• Experience with Kibana Elasticsearch software or similar query & reporting programs would be an asset
• Strong knowledge of VIN data and how it ties to vehicles would be an asset
• Strong knowledge of Vehicle Ordering and Pricing data would be an asset
• This role requires flexible hours (including OT) which may at times include early mornings, late nights and weekends
