Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Senior Director of Software Development and QA. In this role, you will oversee our software development and QA teams, driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, and collaboration across the organization.
Working closely with the Chief Technical Officer (CTO), you will play a critical role in shaping the company's technical strategy while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will also work collaboratively with our Chief Product Officer (CPO) to coordinate priorities as well as strategic product objectives.

*This is an onsite position at our London Ontario office. Must be able to legally work within Canada.*
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software developers and QA professionals, fostering professional growth, accountability, and collaboration.
- Process Improvement: Design and implement strategies to enhance development efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and ensure product quality.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the CTO to align technical strategies with business goals and contribute to the company’s technical roadmap.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product management, operations, and other departments to deliver solutions that meet business needs and delight customers.
- Innovation and Excellence: Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance within the development and QA teams.
- Metrics and Performance: Establish and track key performance indicators to evaluate team success, process efficiency, and product quality.
- Problem-Solving and Escalation: Act as a point of escalation for technical challenges, facilitating timely resolutions.
- Operational Oversight: Manage team resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Skill Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, including 3-5 years in a leadership role managing teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading development and QA practices in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical background with the ability to assess and guide development and QA teams effectively.
- Proven ability to mentor and grow teams, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.
- Experience delivering large-scale software solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing on-site, hybrid and remote staff as well as coordinating work between multiple development offices. You will be expected to travel from time to time to our development office in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
- A track record of driving process improvements and implementing industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and timelines for software development projects.
- Familiarity with our technology stack (e.g., C#, .Net Core, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Angular).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
