ABOUT THIS POSITION

Digital Extremes is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. Working under the direction of the Controller, your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, coordinating financial audits, and assisting with the evaluation and development of processes and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills, and is comfortable responding to shifting demands in a challenging and fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compilation of month-end internal reporting; semi-annual Financial Statement preparation & audits; ensuring completeness and accuracy 
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, review, prepare and record journal entries
  • Create detailed, well organized and efficient Excel schedules to support account balances, analysis or adjustments
  • Ad-hoc reporting to support business decision making
  • Perform accounting analysis for new transactions and/or new accounting standards & amendments
  • Support the supervision of the department’s bank, A/R, A/P, and payroll functions including review of journal entries and working papers
  • Monitor and continue to develop internal controls
  • Provide innovative recommendations on improving current processes
  • Assist in developing & maintaining documentation for department policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements by keeping up to date with current legislation
  • Participate in special projects and other accounting functions and analysis as necessary, including system conversions, acquisitions and related due diligence, and merchandise reporting
  • Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role or with public accounting experience
  • A degree in accounting or business; CPA designation is preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Well-organized and highly detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently, using sound judgement and under strict deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving skills and willing to take initiative; a “can-do” attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
