Business Development Executive

You are a creative, energetic, results-driven sales professional with a passion for obtaining new business to drive revenue growth. As a Business Development Executive, you play an integral part on our Sales team in researching and prospecting new clients, developing lasting relationships, and are responsible for qualifying prospects as well as owning their sales experience from the first point of contact to closed-won! You must be an ambitious, achievement-oriented hunter who is passionate about technology and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

 

The position may require light travel for tradeshows and other related activities but is primarily based out of our office location and reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

 

What we’d like you to do:

 

  • Create and action the strategy for the entire sales cycle to secure new business
  • Achieve revenue targets and planned sales objectives and metrics
  • Maintain a high level of targeted outbound activity to build and maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Generate, conduct research and qualify prospects who would benefit from our solution(s) to build new business opportunities in the sales cycle
  • Execute an effective pipeline strategy for all opportunities in a sales cycle
  • Deliver online presentations and product demos tailored to client needs
  • Update and manage CRM tool with efficiency and accuracy for all accounts
  • Become an expert with respect to the company’s products, value proposition and positioning
  • Keep abreast of market conditions, competitive activities, and market trends
  • Leverage available market data and analysis to develop potential sales and/or promote new ideas for improved service offering to clients based on assessment of their current service model and the company’s product/service model
  • Attend tradeshows and other related networking events.
  • Other duties as required

 

You should be someone who has/is:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of business development, inside sales or related experience in a competitive software industry
  • University or College degree with demonstrated excellence in your field of study. Marketing, Business or Communications background would be ideal
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Comprehensive understanding of a sales process and how to manage a sales funnel
  • Superior written and verbal communication with excellent presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, retain flexibility and maintain composure under pressure
  • Energy and creativity a must
  • Knowledge of/experience in OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) is an asset
  • Due to the nature of our industry, you could be asked to submit a police background check and associated confidentiality agreement
