Our 147,000 square foot production facility boasts a state-of-the-art air quality and ventilation system, ten skylights, and high efficiency LED lighting throughout the production floor.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a quality-conscious, detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Product Engineering Technologist to grow with us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will join our Product Engineering Team to support engineering initiatives across our numerous product lines. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing simple to moderately complex engineering drawings and models using 2D and 3D computer-aided design software
  • Creating product Stock Codes and Bills of Materials
  • Completing time-studies on manufacturing/assembly processes
  • Surveying product packaging and assembly sequences
  • Preparing product manuals, work instructions, and other technical documents for internal and external use
  • Assisting in other projects, as assigned, to support our process and product development efforts

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is proficient with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks
  • Has a strong understanding of the basic principles of engineering design and industry best practices; has a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrates an understanding of machining, welding, and metal fabrication
  • Is highly proficient in the Microsoft Suite of programs
  • A diploma or degree in an applicable manufacturing or engineering technology program is required
