As a Cloud Systems Administrator, you innovate and maintain services through Google Cloud Platform and our OnPoint Suite of products. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Build, develop and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) systems for automated testing of pull requests to assist development with a steady flow of work into source control.
  • Analyze current technology used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve them
  • Assist in creating practical demonstrations of proposed efficiency solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc developer OnPoint WebOps Pipeline and Drupal CLI support requests
  • Build, scale and maintain infrastructure on Google Kubernetes Engine
  • Apply system and application security patches
  • Create and test deployment plans for new services, solutions, and updates
  • Follow and digest detailed technical instructions
  • Document issues, solutions, and network environments
  • Collaborate with internal team and accept feedback
  • Respond promptly to support requests from clients through a ticketing system and email
  • Participate in an on-call, after-hours/weekends rotation schedule for urgent/critical issues
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud infrastructure needs and projects, and troubleshoot deployment issues

 

Knowledge, Education & Experience Required

 

  • 3+ years experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, preferably with Kubernetes Engine
  • Experience working with GCP, Azure or AWS
  • Can explain complex technical scenarios to clients in language they can understand
  • Exceptional skills in troubleshooting and critical thinking
  • Experience with configuring monitoring and observability systems with Prometheus, Granfana and Loki
  • Familiar with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
  • Possess strong scripting skills for automation and configuration management (Bash and Python)
  • Responsible and independent - can work with little supervision
  • Knowledge in scaling, maintaining, and troubleshooting systems running Docker, Ubuntu Linux, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, and PHP
  • Deep understanding of best practices in website and database security

Bonus!

  • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g Google Cloud Professional Certifications,  AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are preferred
  • Development experience with PHP, Drupal, and or Python
