About the job

In the heart of the city of London, Downtown London! (London Downtown Business Associationis currently seeking a Data and Research Assistant to join our team! Reporting to the Manager of Programs and Partnerships, this will be an opportunity to support the growth of downtown’s business improvement association (BIA), its members and merchants.

Mission: To represent and support its members, fostering a strong, thriving downtown in the economic and cultural heart of the City of London.

 

The successful candidate will have strong and proven customer service, writing, communications, technical, and administrative skills. They are friendly, welcoming, outgoing, resourceful and professional with a positive attitude who is responsible for supporting and implementing member and community partner programs and supports.

 

Duties for this position include:

- Contribution to program development through best practice reviews and research through industry associations and other BIA’s

- Database Maintenance – ensure new and existing member information is updated in the database

- Support the preparation, implementation, and analysis of surveys and reports

- Delivery of assets to members (merchandise, information, toolkits, public meeting notices)

- Member satisfaction collaboration with DTL Team and external partners

- Alignment with Downtown London strategic plan goals

- Other duties and staff support as required

 

Essential Qualifications:

- Working towards a post-secondary diploma or degree

 

Skills and Abilities

- Strong understanding of data collection, database management, and surveys

- Demonstrated customer service focus and skills

- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to problem solve

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Work effectively both in a team environment and independently

- Takes initiative and ability to be self-directed

- Solutions focused

- Advanced technical and computer skills and proficiency in managing Client Relationship Management tools, Microsoft, and Google suite programs

- Knowledge and love of the downtown would be considered an asset

 

Additional Information:

Hours 8:30-4:30pm Monday to Friday (with occasional work required outside office hours). This position is an in office position.

Summer student contract running June 3, 2024 to August 23, 2024
