StarTech.com is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Information Technology department at our corporate office in London, Ontario.

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Systems,  the Business Analyst will be responsible for providing and enabling functional and system expertise to implement, improve, integrate and enhance mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems (such as ERP).  The Business Analyst will work with the business to map and optimize existing and new cross functional business processes and serve as a liaison between functional and technical resources to facilitate the creation of new system functionality, upgrades, system modifications, day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, testing and resolution.

While this role is ideally located full time in London, ON, we are open to a flexible schedule for the right candidate located within SW Ontario.

In This Role You Will:

  • Identify, elicit and document end state cross functional and functional business processes
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternative options for improving processes in operating systems across the organization
  • Elicit and define business requirements as related to Enterprise Systems using pre-defined tools
  • Elicit and document requirements for systems integration of new systems with existing systems and help the technical leads to document, design and implement solutions for the integrations
  • Collaborate with IT and Business staff to recommend and develop solutions for identified business requirements and needs
  • Ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into UAT (user acceptance testing)/functional test plans
  • Coordinate and collaborate with technical and functional staff to find solutions to problems identified in testing, resolve issues during systems upgrades
  • Develop, document and maintain complete understanding of all Enterprise Systems configurations for functional areas
  • Assist with the resolution of issues with implemented functionality in conjunction with the functional users

Your Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a relation field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst position
  • Ability to quickly develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders and business professionals at all levels
  • Experience with a major system implementation (such as ERP)
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in data analysis and working with large volumes of data
  • CBAP or Agile Certification is preferred
