Be part of our talented and growing team! We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Risk to join the Indirect Lending Risk team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Indirect Lending Risk.

 

As a Senior Analyst, Risk you will provide credit risk insights for the Retail Financing portfolio, while enabling the business growth within risk appetite through enhancements to credit strategies.

 

You will be responsible for driving originations and collections analytics including strategy development, implementation, optimization, and performance monitoring while ensuring adherence to guidelines, regulatory requirements, and alignment with industry best practices.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Assist in managing origination strategies and policies for the Retail Financing portfolio that optimizes the profitability and efficiency, while operating within the risk appetite.
  • Effectively challenge the health on existing Retail Financing portfolio, including participating in portfolio monitoring, creating collection challenger strategy and loss mitigation policy enhancement.
  • Provide timely analytics support and present sound recommendations to various key stakeholders, including Product groups, FP&A, Sales and Operations, and Technology teams.
  • Maintain a monthly portfolio performance dashboard for the Risk Management Committee; continuously enhance the reporting visualizations and format to streamline the process.
  • Support existing loss, delinquency, liquidation, cash flow and profitability forecasting exercise.
  • Keep informed of industry, regulatory and macroeconomic trends, and the consequent impact on business. Provide recommendations to stay abreast of industry changes.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years work experience in analytics in a financial services industry, preferably in Risk Analytics setting.
  • Post-secondary degree is required (preferably in a quantitative field: i.e. Math, Statistics, Financial Risk Management, or similar). A Master’s Degree is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability in predictive modeling and quantitative forecasting including logistic regression, decision trees, cluster analysis and others advanced modeling techniques.
  • Proven experience in manipulating data to draw insightful conclusions using tools like SAS, SQL, R or Python.
  • High Proficiency in MS Office: Excel (Pivot tables and etc.), Word and PowerPoint; experience with other visualization tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI is an asset.
  • Good understanding of Retail Financing and/or Cards products and their origination processes is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
