WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist with monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents.
- Support vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, and security testing.
- Help maintain and improve security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and training materials.
- Research emerging threats, tools, and best practices in cyber security.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams on security-related projects.
- Assist in reviewing user access requests and verifying adherence to least privilege principles under guidance.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security concepts.
- Familiarity with tools such as SIEMs, firewalls, or vulnerability scanners is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team.
