You might think graphic design for an insurance company isn’t exciting, but our forms design teams are creatively fulfilled while putting our customer at the center of what we do. Our teams produce effective solutions for clients investing in our products and services.
  
The forms design team creates visual, interactive solutions that support advisor partners and their clients. They develop the overall layout and production design for online and print of transactional forms and applications and support product campaigns as it relates. The team applies typography and accessibility in creative ways to achieve business objectives. Graphic designers work as part of collaborative project teams that include product specialists, analysts, processing teams, digital teams and other designers.  
 
This position reports to the Manager, Document Design and Useability located in London, Ontario.
 
What you’ll do every day: 
•    Develop and execute high-quality and cost-effective form design solutions 
•    Work with team members to develop interactive, customer-focused forms in English and French  
•    Create final artwork in a fully Accessible to WCAG 2.2, interactive format and know the software capabilities and file formats required for various mediums to ensure compatibility with back-end systems
•    Review final files for accuracy before sharing and/or publishing 
•    Produce digital assets (PDFs, JPEGs etc.) as well as print materials 
•    Liaise with internal production team to prepare print-ready files 
•    Follow workflow and processes accurately and consistently 
•    Communicate regularly and openly with project analysts and production team 
•    Develop creative solutions that align with strategic objectives that support corporate design and brand standards  
•    Collaborate with partners on large projects, offer strategic design input and contribute design expertise to help solve problems 
•    Discover new ways to deliver on traditional ideas 
 

You’ll find success if you have:  
•    At least 5 years’ experience as a form’s graphic designer 
•    Post-secondary education in Graphic Design  
•    Proficient in Adobe creative cloud - Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Experience Manager  
•    Experience creating tables, tabs, style sheets and master pages in Adobe InDesign 
•    Advanced understanding and application of form design – you’ll need to submit examples as part of the selection process 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) 
•    An openness around exchanging ideas and providing feedback to further the creativity and strategy of a project  
•    Skills and experience with Accessibility, JavaScript, AxesPDF

The base salary for this position is between  $50,400 - $79,800 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
