London Hydro is seeking a Manager, IT Infrastructure to oversee and advance its enterprise infrastructure, supporting both on-premises and cloud-based environments. In this leadership role, you’ll ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical IT systems, from networks and servers to cloud platforms and disaster recovery frameworks.
Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, the successful candidate will guide a team of technical professionals, shape technology roadmaps, manage high-impact projects, and contribute to long-term strategic planning. This role is ideal for a proactive manager with strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Supervise and assign/review the work of IT Infrastructure technical resources. Define roles and responsibilities and manage resource allocations proactively. Provide ongoing leadership.
- Contribute to London Hydro’s technology roadmap and 3-year rolling IT strategy
- Ensure stability, accuracy, availability, and integration of IT Infrastructure technologies and relevant processes (corporate wired and wireless network, internet services, cloud services, databases, Windows and Linux server management and maintenance, VMWare, IP telephony, service desk process). Manage performance and capacity planning.
- Develop, implement, and maintain monitoring and alert notification procedures. Ensure internal service-level agreements are established and maintained.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure IT Infrastructure support and maintenance is conducted in a timely, cost-effective manner while minimizing risk.
- Monitor advances in technology and recommend and implement changes where appropriate.
- Manage and maintain IT Infrastructure projects, enhancements, and changes.
- Contribute to business cases, project plans, and performance reports.
- Advise stakeholders on effective technology solutions.
- Assist in annual operating and capital budget planning.
- Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Demonstrate success in strategy, process optimization, and tech roadmap execution.
- Develop and complete annual health & safety training, conduct staff meetings, audits, and follow-ups.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING

- Five to eight years of relevant IT Infrastructure experience in progressively senior roles
- At least 5 years of supervisory and management experience
- PMP or other technical certifications are considered an asset
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
- High degree of judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
- Team-oriented and results-driven with strong supervisory skills
- Critical thinking and excellent research, and analytical skills
- Leadership, supervisory, and management training/skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
