Reporting to the Director, IT Data Integration, in the department of Information Technology Services (ITS), the Solutions Integration Architect leads and advises on the design, procurement, implementation, and optimization of complex solutions that integrate clinical and business systems data. This role will participate in the collaborative development and delivery of strategic objectives, working with the various ITS teams, partners and key stakeholders. The architect will be responsible for architectural design, overseeing the implementation and optimization of solutions, design of supporting infrastructure (including cloud) to facilitate data migration plans, data models, data flows and efficient integration. With specialization/experience in Data Architecture, they will work with project teams to understand and define functional and technical requirements, develop business plans, and lead others in following best practices. This role will consult and liaise with peers, collaborative groups, departments, and organizations at local, regional and provincial levels. They will ensure the integration architecture of clinical and business systems data is aligned with current and future operational needs, strategies and goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or as acceptable by the hospital
- Master’s degree preferred
- Seven (7) years of recent related experience required
- Solutions integration architecture design, assessment, modeling and documentation skills required
- Knowledge of data management processes, database integration, data warehouse and data lake architectural models required
- Experience with complex HL7 integrations, knowledge and experience with FHIR, API’s an asset
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and data migrations an asset
- Previous recent and relevant experience with Healthcare EMRs (Oracle Health - Cerner) and Business Systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate clinical and business strategies/requirements as well as technology future directions, into practical architectural solutions
- Demonstrated ability to research and assimilate a large quantity of technical information and apply analytical skills to requirements gathering, problem identification, solving & solution mapping
- Experience leading and advising on clinical and business systems data integration process re-design
- Recent experience working with cross-functional teams to support medium and large-scale systems integrations
- IT and healthcare industry awareness of business, technology, and architectural processes and standards
- Proficient in QA practices, earned value techniques, risk assessment and business case methodology
- Experience using structured approaches to project delivery, PMP or Agile methodologies
- Excellent change management, customer service, and organizational skills
- Superior written, oral, presentation, and listening communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and to work as a team member while providing direction to others
- Demonstrated experience in being flexible, adaptable and open to change
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities & changing demands that require attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering architecture education and training
- Demonstrated skilled in Technical diagramming and writing
- Demonstrated knowledge in QA practices, earned value techniques, and business case methodology
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC

Immunization Requirements:
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
