What comes across your desk:

  • As an augmented reality developer you develop custom backend services to extract data from platforms and sensors to be utilized in the AR environment

  • Work with development team to integrate APIs into android and iOS applications

  • Make use of and provide recommendations for software documentation

  • Collaborate with other programmers to identify and correct errors by conducting trial runs, making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced

  • Write end user and developer documentation such as user guides and APIs;

  • Collaborate closely with experienced engineers as well as product managers and designers

  • Focus on code quality and engage in code and design reviews

  • Iterate quickly without compromising quality

  • Develop new skills and learn new languages with the full support of your peers

  • Build robust, lasting, and scalable products

  • Develop tutorials to guide developers through the best practices of using EXAR’s tools

Is this you?

  • Experience developing games in Unity 3D
  • Experience developing mobile and web applications using C#
  • Experience developing Augmented Reality and/or Virtual Reality applications

  • Knowledge of building iOS applications using Objective-C and/or Swift

  • Experience with implementing APIs and interfacing with backend services, including familiarity with JSON, REST and XML

  • Experience in translating design mockups into production-quality functioning app interfaces.

  • Experience using version control software such as git or perforce

  • Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, networking, memory management, distributed systems, and relational databases

  • Intellectual curiosity, including a desire to know how things work, to learn how things work, and to contribute to how things work

  • A love for tackling tough technical challenges

  • Dedication to code quality, performance and continuous improvement

  • Strong mobile debugging and optimization skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under tight timelines

  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects and deadlines at the same time

  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English

Bonus points:

  • UI/UX design fundamentals and experience

  • Unity3D Game Engine development experience

  • Experience developing with React native

  • Experience developing with Vuforia SDK or equivalent AR SDK

  • Proficiency in C++ and deep software engineering knowledge

  • Experiences in graphics rendering APIs such as OpenGL ES/Metal/Vulkan and experience in shader programming

  • Experience with AR libraries such as 8th Wall, PlayCanvas, Lens Studio, ARCore, or ARKit

  • A killer instinct for what is beautiful
