E-Learning Developer

 

Job Description

The E-Learning Developer will be responsible for creating an educational experience for learners that successfully teaches them new information or improves their skill level on our WinAir software. The instructional design process includes: assessing training deliverables, defining learning objectives, creating E-Learning content, supporting the implementation of training, managing the LMS, delivering training, and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum.

The E-Learning Developer will work closely with colleagues and managers to determine requirements throughout the training process and will be committed to continuous learning and development, as well as providing an ongoing commitment to serve in various roles and responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in needs assessment and contribute to the planning of E-Learning projects, including the estimation of anticipated resources and timeline.
  • Create multimedia materials using presentation software, rapid-development tools and image/audio processing software.
  • Storyboard multimedia learning objects such as videos or animated/interactive art.
  • Write, create, and adapt reference material such as flowcharts, scripts, and storyboard templates, for the production of curriculum and training content.
  • Write and create documentation (guide-sheets, videos, etc.) as well as training and orientation modules for use by SMEs, instructors, and learners.
  • Publish materials to various online tools.
  • Ensure existing training material is up-to-date based on new software releases or new delivery methods.
  • Analyze training evaluations in place to test knowledge transfer at time of training and to determine appropriate course of action based on evaluation results.
  • Review training evaluations to ensure customer satisfaction, effective course content and identify potential training opportunities.
  • Plan, schedule and track projects, maintaining aggressive deadlines and communicate risks in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with various departments to understand WinAir Software, provide accurate training recommendations and support implementation process of new and existing customers.
  • Facilitate training courses as required to internal employees and external customers as required.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience with E-Learning authoring applications (Storyline, Captivate, Lectora, etc.)
  • Working experience with LMS is a great asset.
  • Experience delivering training courses in either classroom or online setting is a definite plus.
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and convey complex technical information in simple terms
  • Ability to interpret complex requests and implement them based on an aggressive timeline
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks independently with little direction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop as well as Adobe After Effects
  • Experience with Adobe Audition or similar Digital Audio Workstation
  • Familiarity with OBS Studio is an asset.
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Adobe RoboHelp is an asset.
  • Aviation experience/knowledge is a plus, as is fluency in other language
