Market Strategy Specialist

This role will focus on business and market growth in vertical market segments. He/she will assist the vertical market manager in new market development, developing formalized marketing strategies, and building specific marketing plans to support this strategy. The market strategy specialist will actively work with product management, and sales team to develop marketing tactics and commercial action plans to deliver annual growth objectives.

 

The main responsibilities include:

  • Conduct market research to understand market potential and assist in creating strategies to develop the market

  • Contribute to develop/refine detailed market segmentation

  • Track the market trend, evaluate market size and growth rate, and identify potential growth opportunities for industrial UV business

  • Collect and analyze indirect and direct competitor information

  • Assist the vertical market manager in providing marketing supports and developing sales tools

  • Work with the digital marketing team to plan and implement target market focused campaigns to drive demand

  • Work with product management team on product roadmap and new product design project to close target market product gaps

  • Assist in the roll-out of new products into the segment, including specific actions:

  • Commercialization process champion

  • Develop end-user demand drivers

  • Global demand creation strategy

 

Background and Skill

The ideal candidate should have a strong willingness to learn, be able to deliver results, be a team player, creative thinker, and a self-starter who has a proven track record in Strategic and Vertical Marketing. Additionally, the candidate should have strong communication skills, be detail oriented, and have a strong commitment to customer service and quality.

  • BS or BA degree in business or marketing

  • 2+ years progressive experience in business

  • Some knowledge of chemistry and other applications related to the water treatment industry helpful but not required

  • Demonstrated experience in the commercial launch of new products, market segmentation techniques, market research and analysis, and the development of and use of demand creation and promotional tools and strategies

  • Development and implementation of business/product/marketing plans

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate and implement strategic business plans

  • Strong planning, organization, listening and communication skills

  • International experience and intercultural agility
