Finance Manager
The Finance Manager will be dynamic, learn quickly and be interested in becoming a true generalist owning a wide variety of financial responsibilities for a rapidly growing technology company. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the oversight of finance, accounting and reporting activities while performing all day-to-day finance operations.

As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the oversight of finance, accounting and reporting activities while performing all day-to-day finance operations.

What we’d like you to do:
- Maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Support the strategic direction of the company through critical analysis and modelling as part of the financial statements preparation
- Maintain accurate supporting information for all financial transactions, audits and remittances
- Manage the bookkeeping function, including the maintenance of the general ledger, A/P and A/R
- Contract management for all accounts, facilities and memberships
- Forecast, prepare and present budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; and recommending plans
- Oversee the budgeting function as well as monthly financial and KPI performance review
- Tax filing including HST, WSIB, EHT and payroll deductions
- Drive the SR&ED process, coordinate external consultants as well as manage all of the external filings
- Manage year-end preparation as well as coordinate year-end and tax filings with external accountants
- Partner with sales, marketing, HR and operations to develop financial plans, calculate commissions, arrange travel, and devise strategic ad hoc reporting to support business initiatives and execute strategic ad hoc reporting
- Execute all banking functions, including bank accounts, all payments and deposits as well as manage bank relations
- Maintain contracts through financial review of terms of service and/or changes requested by clients
- Support the financial nature of the company by maintaining government grant relationships and contacts
- Assist with duties related to general office management
- Other duties as required
- A designated chartered professional accountant (CPA)
- Proven financial acumen through a minimum of three (3+) years of professional accounting experience. Public accounting experience in tax and audit would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the standard bookkeeping principles. Experience using QuickBooks online would be considered an asset.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to excellence
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strategic leadership abilities and the ability to develop and grow the accounting function and overall finance department and processes
- A desire to learn and grow with the company
