Technical Services (Intermediate) Computer Technologist - London, Ontario
ESAC leads the electrical industry in innovative power system integrated solutions based on technology, service, and value. We are seeking a driven, technically skilled professional with an enthusiasm for our Power Systems division. What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of SQL, HTML5, and SCADA HMI based systems for utility/generation integrated solutions
- Working with the multidiscipline technical team to contribute to developing conceptual designs, estimates, and proposals
- Perform research, specifications analysis, system studies, detailed technical design, development/fabrication, site installation, commissioning, and reports
- Participating in all divisions (Modular Controls, Electrical & Integration, Power Systems, and Software & Communications) to establish overall knowledge, technical and management skills
- Divisional manager assigned projects assisting projects/services technical staff following the application process/methodology for quality deliverables on time and on budget
- Internal IT requirements and generate projects/services for supervisor monitoring to achieve a profitable and harmonious work environment
What We're Looking For
- Three years or more of experience with integrated electrical power systems and interactive solutions
- Experience in programming languages Java, Lua, Python, HTML5, VB, SQL programming, and relational database management
- SVG/HTML5, Inkscape design/development, review/analyze, testing/monitoring, maintaining, and documenting
- Microsoft Server Technologies (MS Office 365 E3, Terminal Services, Azure)
- Virtualization experience (Hyper-V, VMWare, VirtualBox) is an asset
- Knowledge of serial, ethernet, wireless communications, SOAP, DNP3, Modbus protocols, and SCADA HMI graphics, alarming historians with reporting
- Excellent project team participation, technical adapting, speaking, and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy in work, and organizational skills
