Pall Water - Technical Service Engineer

 

This position will provide technical service, customer service, and field service to customers in regard to Pall Water products and processes.  This is a technical position that requires the ability to safely perform remote troubleshooting, hands on work, process optimization, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

About the Technical Service Engineer role:

Reporting to the Technical Service Lead, this role provides technical service, customer service, and field service to our customers regarding Pall Water’s products and processes. This is a technical position that requires the ability to perform remote troubleshooting, hands-on work, process optimization and maintain high customer satisfaction.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers via phone, remote connection, and email

  • Work closely with other Service team members, Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to find a satisfactory resolution of complex technical and commercial issues with customers

  • On-call technical phone support: Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to customers as part of the “on-call” rotation as assigned; Provide service reports for any after-hours calls

  • Testing and troubleshooting all systems hardware remotely and occasionally in person

  • Responsible for identifying, implementing, documenting system modifications, and conveying back to appropriate Pall Water team

  • Execute commissioning service and contracted services to the installed base as assigned

  • Travel required: 10-20% within North America

Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience

  • Technical or field service in water-related industry experience preferred

  • Technical service aptitude including process knowledge; PLC and HMI skills and service event capabilities

  • Proven track record of effectively solving problems

  • Ability to communicate interpersonally and work well with others, both internally externally

  • Proven effective work ethic in a self-directed work environment
