We are looking for a Senior Engineering Specialist (Exchange & Email Security).
The Senior Engineering Specialist provides Exchange, email security and M365 engineering, infrastructure design and project support. The role provides technical leadership for Messaging (hybrid Exchange and multiple security products) and M365 technology projects and leads technology initiatives. The role works closely with Portfolio and Systems Architecture to ensure effective technology solutions are designed and implemented that meet corporate standards. This role also provides technology direction for Messaging within Infrastructure & Operations.
What you will do
- Provide technical expertise for projects and support teams with emphasis on constructing solutions through integration of infrastructure and applications including 3rd party products
- Support the development of implementation strategies and plans including identification of technical work packages, dependencies, estimates and schedules
- Produce detailed infrastructure design documentation and develop technical specifications for target environment(s)
- Build and configure technology solutions as dictated by the architecture and Canada Life Standards
- Support target environments during build, testing, and implementation phases
- Create all necessary solution documentation, both engineering and architectural
- Provide 3rd level support for new environments 7x24 during production implementation phases
- Document operational and recovery procedures
- Formally transition solutions to production
- This role will have rotating on call.

- Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website

The base salary for this position is between $63,500.00 - $117,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
