Race Roster is an online event registration platform geared towards endurance events. As our scope of work broadens, we’re looking for an experienced designer to join our team and help us bring our work to the next level of creative excellence. This designer will help our partner and teammates from the Runkeeper app to build the best run tracking app in the world. You’ll be joining the most collaborative team you’ve ever experienced, which will hopefully lead you to the best work of your life. 

Designers at Race Roster are customer-focused, creative and constantly trying new things, showing them off when they work well, and discarding them when they don’t. The ideal candidate is able to execute projects quickly, precisely and independently, while collaborating with other digital designers and copywriters. 

Mission

  • Playing a key role in driving and bringing to life the creative strategy behind our running ecosystem (Runkeeper and Race Roster) 
  • Creating designs for a variety of digital assets: web pages, emails, presentations, illustrations, social, etc.
  • Updating legacy designs to our new modern standards
  • Working with the creative, marketing and sales team to create eye-catching design deliverables
  • Managing freelance designers as needed 
  • Presenting creative work to key stakeholders throughout the organization 

Required

  • 2-3 years of experience working as a designer in the digital space 
  • Ability to work in a team and independently on assigned tasks
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines and QA work thoroughly
  • Enough knowledge of HTML and CSS to implement straightforward designs
  • Strong visual design skills to create illustrations, photo manipulations, print layouts and digital designs
  • Solid understanding of typography, visual hierarchy and layout
  • Ability to use common graphic design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or equivalent

Bonus skills

  • Experience with Figma and Sketch
  • Experience and/or interest in UX/UI
  • Experience and/or interest in copywriting
  • Photography skills
  • Video skills
  • Love of running
