The opportunity

As a bilingual HR Advisor, you will:

• Provide on-demand over the phone advice/guidance to our clients in English and French (located across Canada) on a wide range of HR topics including, but not limited to compensation, training and development, progressive discipline, terminations, employee relations, labour relations, recruitment and selection, performance management, attendance, and disability management.
• Provide guidance/advice on (and interpretation of) HR-related legislation and regulations across jurisdictions including employment standards, occupational health and safety, human rights, and workers’ compensation.
• Direct clients to (or provide clients with) additional resources to improve their understanding and help to resolve their expressed concern or inquiry.
• Ensure client satisfaction and foster client engagement on every call.
• Remain abreast of all current and emerging HR-related legislation, regulations and best practices.

About you

You are an HR professional who:

• Has at least 8 years of progressive HR experience.
• Is bilingual in English and French with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Has proven experience developing, implementing, maintaining, and advising on all primary HR functions.
• Has an in-depth understanding of all HR-related legislation and regulations, including interpretation and application.
• Can establish rapport quickly and build lasting and trusting relationships.
• Is focused on the customer or client experience.
• Has strong research abilities and the desire for continuous learning.
• Has a degree or diploma in HR, or a related field.

It’s a bonus if you:

• Have your CHRP or CHRL designation.
