Position Overview

As a Senior Marketing Designer, you will be responsible for leading digital activations and campaigns and producing engaging detail-focused designs and deliverables. You will be relied upon for your expertise in design programs and will mentor fellow designers. You’ll be given the opportunity to pitch big ideas to clients and partners and drive creativity through the marketing team. This position requires flexibility as we respond to new business and customer requirements, while being able to quickly adapt to new strategies and priorities as they evolve.

This position is open to internal and external candidates.

Product Line

This role will be working on/with the ASICS Runkeeper product, as well as partnering with Race events that ASICS sponsors and use the Race Roster tool in the backend. 

Work Location

The successful candidate for this role can be either a satellite employee (working 100% remotely from a designated location within Canada or US). Or, a hybrid employee (flexibility to work in the office or from home at a location within 75km/75 miles from the London, ON office).

Responsibilities

  • Multi-task across multiple projects while delivering high quality work that ensures brand consistency and cutting edge ideas.
  • Mentor fellow designers and inspire the team to push creative boundaries
  • Remain organized and process-focused while working across several platforms, clients and brands. 
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Runkeeper brand, by supporting, concepting, and implementing the rebrand of ASICS Runkeeper to align with the larger ASICS ecosystem. 
  • Work closely with copywriters, fellow designers, project managers and marketers to bring to life the brand vision, voice, and persona across marketing materials and brand campaigns. 
  • Form a solid understanding of the Runkeeper platform and how each product services Runkeeper customers 
  • Collaborate on a variety of creative projects from ideation to production by developing concepts and creative for a variety of platforms, including email, social, web, and paid media. 
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and bring new and fresh ideas to the table for brand activations, both digital and in-person. 
  • Meaningfully participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives across the ASICS Running Apps teams

Education & Experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant in-house or agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field with
  • Experience working on brand and marketing campaigns in the digital space. 
  • Ability to pitch new ideas to clients and peers in a professional and exciting manner
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior/mid-level designers
  • Strong typography, visual and design capabilities. 
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once.

The successful candidate for this role, if located in Canada, will become an employee of Race Roster North America Corporation (RRNA). RRNA is a subsidiary of ASICS Corporation, a Japanese multinational corporation. Race Roster was founded in London, Ontario in 2011.
