Job Details

Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, the Financial Analyst will work closely with the business to provide financial insight, analysis and planning in order to support decision making and strategic initiatives.

The Financial Analyst will update sophisticated financial models providing the leadership team with necessary information and decision-making support on important issues. The successful candidate must have strong technical expertise and an understanding of business process and operations.

The FP&A team are key contributors to the strategic planning and budget process, providing both leadership and support to the vertical leads and business.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain financial models
• Review actual performance vs. budget and forecasts; analyze trends, metrics, and be able to provide an executive summary of findings with supporting details
• Provide reporting and analysis to facilitate monthly billing and month-end close procedures
• Work with the finance team to facilitate the annual planning and budgeting process
• Collection, analysis, and communication of internal and external information including industry, competitor, economic, and other key data sources to support strategic decisions
• Ad hoc projects, requests for information, and analysis as required
• Work cross-functionally across the organization and be part of team projects to provide financial analysis support as required

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or equivalent experience
• 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
• Work in a finance or analyst role is an asset
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven manner
• Ability to work across multiple job levels and departments to achieve results
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and time management skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of PowerBI, PowerPivot, PowerQuery & other database tools an asset
• Working knowledge in Structured Query Language (SQL) an asset
• Auto industry knowledge an asset
