Minimum

• 5+ years of experience with JVM based languages
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in SQL-like languages
• Strength to build followership through inspiration
• Habit for delivering quality software using automated testing (Unit, Integration, System, Performance, etc.)
• Architectural wisdom of applications on the web
• Passion to build distributed, reliable, scalable, low-latency REST web services.
• Keep your cool under pressure; focused on the solution
• Thrive in a fast-paced & dynamic environment
• Uncompromising willingness to learn
   

Equally Important

• Spidey sense preventing future issues with new and existing designs
• Practiced proficiency of continuous deployment, containerization, on premise and cloud systems
• Cloud Native Compute Foundation followers & supporters
• Trained in the art of Kubectl, Skaffold, Kustomize, Istio ...
• Any immersion in the worlds of Golang, Rust, Kotlin, WebAssembly, TypeScript
• Event communication & data streaming technologies using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar
• In cluster, cloud native distributed database technologies using CockroachDB, Vitess, TiKV.
• Exposure to machine learning
• Number nerd - analytics, performance metrics, statistics
• Open source is your way of life
• Desire to show off your skills & help others grow
