Who are we looking for?
We are growing and currently seeking a Finance Manager for our Finance department. This position is responsible for managing the financial activities of the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- A degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
- CPA-CA Mandatory;
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in finance or accounting positions, preferablyin the legal sector or a related industry, with experience managing direct reports;
- Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applicationswith a proficiency in Power BI;
- Proven ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all professionalcommunications;
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to diversestakeholders, including executives, team members, and external partners;
- Demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking, organizational planning, andwritten communication; and
- Familiarity with financial trends and innovations that can enhance the efficiencyand performance of the finance function and the firm as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support and planning for the Finance department;•Develop and manage the financial functions of the firm (budgeting, forecasting,financial analysis, and reporting);
- Maintaining and improving the integrity of the Firm’s financial practices;•Maintaining and developing relationships with financial institutions, auditors, andother vendors;
- Provide financial analysis to support the CFO;
- Assisting with the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements such asannual financial statement disclosure, monthly valuation adjustments and accuratepreparation of tax returns;
- Oversee the Partnership’s banking relationships, including monthly margin andratio reporting, quarterly compliance certifications and annual renewal of terms;
- Oversee Partner finance including annual tax documents, prepare performancecalculations, and cash flow forecasting;•Oversee the finance team – including recruitment, retention, leadership,development, coaching etc;
- Takes a leadership role with IDEA initiatives, ensuring Finance initiatives supportthe organization’s cultural goals and values;•Arrange Insurance policy coverage as required including E&O, Property andContents, Crime and Cyber. Consider any gaps in coverage that may arise due tocoverage and firm changes;
- Assist with compensation and benefit structure by assisting departments in annualreview process;
- and Perform other duties as assigned.
