ERP System Administrator (Hybrid)
 

This is a hybrid position, meaning 2-3 days onsite and 2-3 days remote per week. Must be in a commutable distance to our site in London, Ontario.

The Information Systems ERP Administrator (ERP Admin) reporting to the Senior Manager - Business Systems is responsible for the smooth operation of the Trojan ERP applications and connected systems, while also driving ERP system IT audit adherence and Corporate Security plan compliance.

Accountabilities

  • Administrate the Trojan on-prem ERP and cloud-based connected systems (all company ERPs)
  • Administrate and directly support refreshes of the multi-level ERP server environment (Prod, Pre-Prod, Dev, Patch)
  • Track and regularity report ERP Prod system health, resource utilization, and alert activity
  • Drive high levels of ERP performance, availability, sustainability, and security by proactively engaging platform resources
  • Triage, solve, and correct ERP and connected system level technical issues in real time
  • Collaborate with and coach BSA’s, Dev, DBA, and Server Admin resources to meet objectives
  • Refine and automate regular ERP job processes, track issues, and document system changes
  • Coach developers with ERP based query tuning and schema access
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
  • General Admin Responsibilities – addressing filesystem alerts, integration issues, troubleshooting print issues, creating tasks and restarting windows server

  • Meet the Key Performance indicators for quality, on time delivery, innovation and customer support.

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • 5 plus years of experience as a software developer and connecting to databases (MS SQL and Oracle), Creating Views / Tables, running queries, creating stored procedures and creating linked servers, etc)
  • 3 plus years of experience in ERP technical support in areas such as backups, restores and recovery models, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server, Windows server, including Active Directory
  • OS Scripting - Windows BAT file scripting, Powershell scripting, Unix Shell scripting (nice to have) and creating OS level alerts.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP and related systems in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with DBS or a similar business improvement system preferred
