In our Engineering team in Trackunit, we’re looking for another fast-paced, ambitious, informal, nerdy Senior Backend Software Engineer to join us. 

 

You will play a key role in developing and implementing architectural plans and initiatives needed to achieve the organization's strategic goals. You will join one of the feature teams and here develop the team and the individuals in the team based on your experience and motivation. We focus on continuous integration and deployment practices and you will be delving into different projects, and always be on the lookout for new innovative ways to approach tasks using the latest tools and cutting-edge technologies.

Who are you?

  • You have experience from software position(s) ideally in SaaS or at an early stage start-up.
  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Software Development, or related, could also be that you are self-taught with a portfolio of running software
  • You speak Java fluently and have experience with specifying and developing REST APIs using Spring Boot or similar frameworks
  • You take pride in writing well-designed, tested code, and peer code review is part of your way-of-working
  • You have experience or are motivated to learn open-source, scale-out platforms/technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Cassandra, Kubernetes, SQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis as well as metrics/monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Humio.
  • You have experience within CI/CD and might know one or more of these tools/frameworks: Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and CircleCI.

What happens from here - overview of the recruitment process

We go through a process including,

  • Meet and greet - likely on a virtual video call. Here you will meet the hiring manager and a colleague from our People & Talents team, and we’re looking forward to it! 
  • Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment (we use Hogan) prior to the interview. In the interview, you will, first of all, get feedback, but the aim is just as well to have a dialogue about what you thrive in, what we offer, etc. 
  • Assignment-specific interview. Based on the learnings from the process you will be given a case to prepare. You will present the case to the hiring manager, a senior manager, relevant new colleagues, and the People & Talents colleague. Preferably in person. 
  • Offer presentation and walk-through.
