London Hydro is looking to add an SAP Specialist to its core team. London Hydro is currently working on a major transformation project reimplementing the current ISU ECC solution in S/4 HANA.
The ideal candidate will bring their techno functional experience and skills and focus primarily on ABAP development across the various SAP IS-U business processes. A solid core ABAP development experience is needed along with UI5/ Fiori development experience.

Your responsibilities will be to act as London Hydro SAP Specialist for the S4 implementation project as well as support the current SAP ISU ECC system. You will actively participate in the project implementation assisting with the requirement gathering, design validations, fit, gap assessment. You will also assist in data migration related activities, QA of solution design, code review   troubleshooting during the UAT and assist with cut over and stabilization after go live.

In a steady state post implementation, your role will involve providing production support and expertise in resolving issue, provide governance on changes, timely implementation of regulatory changes and various ongoing enhancements and projects, to streamline, optimize and design processes.

JOB DUTIES
Your responsibilities as SAP Specialist will include:
  • Gain knowledge as an IT SME and gain a good understanding of cross module utilities business processes.
  • Liaison with the Business SME(s) to gain an understanding of their requirements, understand cross module impacts and providing solutions adhering to the out-of-the-box approach, wherever possible. 
  • Supporting the ongoing SAP processes to ensure smooth, efficient business operations and contribute in SAP changes from the various PMO projects or enhancements as needed.
  • Carrying out solution design and blueprinting to deliver robust business processes that take into consideration accepted industry practices.
  • Configuring, coding and testing the system per defined quality standards.
  • Perform ABAP coding and maintaining the necessary system documentation.
  • Adhering to all Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations, the E&USA rule book, London Hydro work practices and London Hydro’s Health & Safety Management System.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
This is primarily a developer role that require hands on coding experience. Along with having extensive knowledge of Utility Industry business processes along with the following:
  • Strong Development Experience in Modern ABAP development models like RESTful ABAP Programming model and ABAP Cloud
  • Hands-on experience in developing ABAP CDS data models and OData services
  • Experience in using Fiori Elements OData Annotation Framework
  • Freestyle UI5 development experience. Proficiency in UI5 related programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Strong Core ABAP Experience - Object Oriented Programming, Enhancement Framework, Workflows, RFC, BAPI, Proxy, Gateway etc.
  • Experience with CRM Web Client UI framework application development.
  • Write functional and technical specifications and work with Subject Matter Expert to configure and enhance SAP system
  • Prepare training materials and deliver end-user training.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Communicate complex and technical issues effectively to business users.
  • Work with a high degree of independence and able to pick up skills and knowledge on the job.
  • Communicate well, orally and in writing, while using good interpersonal skills.
  • Contribute and work effectively in a team-oriented environment that includes internal as well as multiple vendors.

You will bring overall 3 years of strong ABAP development experience - preferably in SAP for Utilities – with well demonstrated experience in ABAP CDS, OData and UI5 application development

ASSETS
  • Basic understanding of SAP IS-U business processes.
  • Experience with interface development in SAP PO/Cloud Integration.
  • Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform Suite of Services

Salary range: $105,000 to $131,000 per annum
