This is a student position that is 4 months in duration for the term: May - August. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University.
This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program.

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Student who is interested in learning how business needs are translated into effective technology and process solutions. In this role, you will work closely with business, technology, and delivery teams to analyze processes, gather requirements, and support the implementation of solutions that enable organizational goals.
As part of a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will gain hands-on experience bridging business and technology by supporting initiatives across planning, delivery, analysis, and continuous improvement. You will be supported by experienced analysts and mentors while applying your academic learning to real-world challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Support the analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Work with business partners, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements
- Assist in translating business needs into functional requirements, user stories, or solution outlines
- Contribute to the development of presentations, documentation, and visual artifacts to communicate insights and recommendations
- Support project and initiative delivery through research, analysis, testing, and coordination activities
- Participate in solution design, testing, and implementation support as needed
- Assist with data analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Apply continuous improvement thinking to processes, tools, and ways of working
What You’ll Be Working With

- Business Analysis Practices:
Requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and documentation - Delivery & Ways of Working:
Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models - Tools & Documentation:
Collaboration and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SharePoint), presentation and analysis tools - Data & Systems:
Business applications, databases, APIs, reporting tools, or workflow platforms - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Working with project managers, developers, operations, and business stakeholders
What You Bring
- Currently in your second-year or higher and pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Technology Management, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Interest in understanding how business processes and technology systems work together
- Ability to organize information and communicate insights clearly
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage assigned tasks
- Reliability Status Security Clearance – This can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website.? The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.

The base salary for this position is between $43,400 - $71,900 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with the other factors depending on your program.
