Salary From:  $101,331.63 

Job Summary :
Act in a technical capacity, developing solutions to client business problems and planning and coordinating large projects or multiple small projects; or act as a technical expert in a particular area of specialization, sometimes in connection with large, complex projects with significant impact on WSIB operations.  Provide client support for multi-platform applications, including application system maintenance and timely resolution of problems.
This position will work closely with the Project Managers, developers, analysts, testers and key business partners.  Working in collaboration with various teams, but will need to have the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
The successful candidate is expected to have hands-on experience in Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint technologies.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership to approved projects through development of detailed work plans with specific milestone objectives and time frames; identifying skill sets required to complete project activities.

2. Provide support for application and software related maintenance, upgrades and implementations.  Provide direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of releases, upgrades or changes to applications within their designated environment.

3. Monitor and report on project progress, including regular contact with client representatives and producing periodic status reports to management, to ensure projects are maintained on schedule, within budget, and that project deliverables appropriately resolve the business issue.

4. Support ongoing production maintenance and implementation of Legacy mainframe and PeopleSoft ERP and EPM applications.  Work in a functional/technical capacity with a good understanding of business processes, relational databases and PeopleSoft table structure.

5. Provide timely and consistent client support, reacting promptly to client queries, requests and system problems which could occur during the evening or day, requiring 24 hour on call availability.

6. Involved in analyzing, designing, building, testing, code debugging and maintaining all technical processes including procedure documentation as it applies to the specific technology.

7. Work with business users to define business process design, business/system requirements, and translates Functional requirements into Technical design and future state process documentation.

8. Assist in business case development for new projects; developing expertise in the relevant business area and ensures that the system applications supports the current and planned future needs of the business.

9. Support the execution of application plans and strategies, information system architectures, investment, and service delivery strategies in alignment with the business priorities.

10. Maintain in depth knowledge in assigned technologies in order to provide specialized technical advice to staff, peers and management to ensure the most appropriate solutions.

11. Work, interact and discuss with team, team leaders, other I.T. areas and support staff regarding system and database performance tuning, dissemination of information and generally direct the group to success.

12. Develop, prepare and maintain operational procedures to support all day-to-day operations, regular reports of achievements, outstanding activities, issues, constraints, etc.

13. Explore opportunities and develop application solutions to enhance system reliability and availability to maintain a 100% system up time target.


Job Requirements

Education

  • University completion at undergraduate level with a specialty focus in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Experience

  • Seven years prior experience in software development.
