Clinical Informatics Learning

 

The Learning Developer will analyze, design and develop adult learning based on best practice using a variety of media platforms. The Learning Developer will conduct Clinical (OneChart) and/or other Corporate training needs, including in-person and virtual facilitation, and eLearning and document creation. Working with project teams, the Learning Developer will also assist with process evaluation and recommendations for further efficiencies and consult on learning design and implementation, where appropriate. The Learning Developer will strive to continuously improve the learning offerings and advance the technological capabilities of the organization.

 

Temporary Full-Time, up to December 2025

 

Rate of Pay:               $34.22 per hour - $42.78 per hour

Qualifications

 
  • Successful completion of a two (2) year College Certificate in Adult Education, or Learn Design or equivalent as accepted by the Hospital
  • Successful completion of a bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certified Training & Development Professional or equivalent as accepted by the hospital
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of adult learning theories, delivery channels and learning interventions of instructional design theory and application of research and theory to the practice of instructional design and development of Learning
  • Technical competence in the areas of graphic and multimedia authoring software for the purposes of course and curriculum design
  • Ability to design and develop learning assets that reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners and groups of learners
  • Competency in graphic and multimedia e-learning rapid authoring tools in the creation of e-learning (i.e. Captivate, Articulate, Storyline) to create interactive SCORM compliant web-based training products (preferred)
  • Electronic Health Record experience (e.g. Cerner Millennium) (preferred)
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values 
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
