Job Description:
Support Staff employees, as defined by the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration. 
 
Payband: This position is paid at Payband K.
 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; This position is subject to averaging of hours. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and off-hours for projects, maintenance and support.
 
Position Summary: 
Under the supervision of the Director, the incumbent provides leadership, project management, systems analysis, systems design and computer programming expertise for the selection, development, implementation and support of the College's information systems.                                                  
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
	- 
	
Analyzes, designs and documents computer information systems to meet the needs of the College
	 
	- 
	
Manages systems development projects including project planning, and allocating tasks to project team members and monitoring and reviewing their work
	 
	- 
	
Provides systems operation support including troubleshooting, training and guidance to users and other Information System Services staff
	 
	- 
	
Provides system administrative support including maintaining user security, applying testing and implementing systems upgrades
	 
	- 
	
Programs and tests computer programs
	 
	- 
	
Other duties as assigned                                                                                                
	 
 
Qualifications:
	- 
	
3 year diploma/degree in Computer Programmer/Analyst or related program
	 
	- 
	
8 years progressive information systems experience, with at least three years of project management, systems analysis, systems design and programming experience, including at least 1 year experience designing web-based systems in a “.NET” environment and experience with the implementation and support of ERP systems
	 
	- 
	
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
	 
	- 
	
Development experience in Ellucian platform preferred
	 
	- 
	
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and system design
	 
	- 
	
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
	 
	- 
	
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
	 
	- 
	
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
	 
	- 
	
Ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively
