Senior Network and Security Specialist is a role in our Corporate IT team.
This is an office-based role with the option of a hybrid work arrangement.
Must be available to come into the London, Ontario office 3 days per week.

You have a post-secondary diploma in IT with a concentration in networking and a MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) designation. You have 10+ years of experience supporting users in a Microsoft Active Directory/Azure Active Directory environment and experience with a cloud based MDR solution. You have excellent interpersonal and strong written and verbal communication skills. You also have experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 applications, Exchange Server, SQL Server, HP Hardware, switches and routers in wireless copper/fibre environments.
As a member of the Trudell Network and Security team, you will help drive the provision of an efficient and secure IT infrastructure for companies across the Trudell Medical Group (TMG).
Specifically, you will focus on:
Enterprise Network
- Manage the TMG enterprise network infrastructure
- Set, develop, and document standards for all hardware purchases
- Set, develop, and document standards for all Operating Systems (OS)
- Manage TMG’s Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Azure Active Directory topology
- Develop and manage TMG’s Microsoft Exchange enterprise (email) topology, including Exchange Online
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of advanced telecommunication/data/security technologies and services
- Provide a patch management and service pack update strategy for all operating units
- Ensure the testing and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Plan is completed regularly covering all operating units, in conjunction with Departmental leadership
- Manage the InTune Mobile Device Management system for all TMG companies
- Manage the Microsoft Select Agreement Licenses (Server Pool) for all TMG companies
- Mentor all IT employees in all operating units
- Ensure timely review of Software Agreements, purchases, and budgeting to meet annual budgetary reviews
- Thorough knowledge using MS Hyper V and/or VMWare
Internal Network Security
- Ensure security standards are set and documented for all operating units
- Participate in the maintenance of firewalls, Unified Threat Management gateways and the Aruba ClearPass Policy Management Platform
- Oversee, operate and ensure the robustness of infrastructure components such as routers, switches, servers, etc.
- Monitor and ensure patch management with RMM tools where applicable
- Work with relevant international teams to monitor patching and hardening compliance across the entire portfolio of TMG systems
- Design and build high availability/fault tolerant/secure data network solutions meeting corporate architectural initiative.
- Working in conjunction with the Senior Security Analyst develop document and enforce security policies and procedures
Project Management
- Ensure analysis of pending projects is completed
- Prioritize projects based on risk mitigation, project dependencies, importance to the corporation and resource availability
- Manage IT hardware projects in conjunction with Director, IT
- Determine the support required for completed projects in conjunction with the stakeholders and Director, IT
- Provide the support required to all stakeholders
- Maintain and document current back-up plan while suggesting options for future state
- Follow-up on the roll out of projects with the end users
Administration
- Participate in ongoing training and skills development as required
- Assist with the development of other Information Technology policies and procedures
- Assist with the development of the Disaster Recovery Plan and Business Continuity Plan covering all operating units
- Document all processes, policies, and procedures
- Act as a resource to others related to enterprise network best practices as required
