Your role and key responsibilities

The Sr. Specialist, Capacity Analysis & Special Topics plays a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across the battery manufacturing value chain. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth capacity assessments, scenario modeling, and leading cross-functional investigations into emerging topics that impact production planning, supply chain, and business continuity.

This position is in-person and located in the charming town of St. Thomas ON.

What you bring to the team

  • Develop and maintain models to assess current and future production capacity across manufacturing lines and sites.
  • Elaborate the long-term capacity planning aligned with required demand and forecasts and investment strategies.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate risks and opportunities.
  • Lead investigations into ad hoc or emerging topics such as new product introductions, technology shifts, regulatory impacts, tariffs or sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain teams to validate capacity assumptions and improvement opportunities taking into consideration the process restrictions and quality field complains.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between General Planning and other departments to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in planning workflows and reporting.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives related to planning and capacity management.

What makes you stand out

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, capacity analysis, or operations strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with ERP and APS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
