Role Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Coordinator, Student Accounts will be the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and suppliers with all inquiries related to these accounts. Utilizing a strong customer service background, the incumbent will display exceptional tact, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality in all interactions to represent Huron in an appropriate manner. This role will focus on supporting the billing and collection of students’ accounts and support in troubleshooting.

 

Working closely with the Finance team and other Student Services areas, the incumbent will maintain accurate, up-to-date records of personal and financial information related to various accounts, student accounts, and other related activities. This position will be cross-trained and provide support and back-up to various support desk roles across campus. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of related work experience in a computerized accounting environment, preferably in a post-secondary or educational setting or a demonstrated ability to perform the role to expectations. 
  • Proficient in working with MS Office suite products, including Excel. 
  • Experience working in NetSuite and PeopleSoft would be considered an asset. 
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills to represent Huron in a professional manner and support a variety of inquiries. 
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy as it relates to data entry. 
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills. 
  • An open, inviting and approachable personality that allows the opportunity to build meaningful, trusting relationships.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities with respect, sensitivity, creativity, innovation, and cultural understanding.
