AI Vision Developer

Description

TrueLight, a BOS Innovations company, is hiring an AI Vision Developer to design, train, validate, and deploy computer vision models for industrial quality inspection and robotic guidance projects. This contract position is for an experienced candidate with the ability to start immediately to work on cutting-edge AI for real-world inspection and robotic guidance systems

You will:

• Develop deep learning models for segmentation, defect detection, and classification.
• Validate and optimize models for accuracy, speed, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to integrate models into production inspection systems and robotic cells, including 3D imaging and weld inspection applications.
• Build and refine synthetic data pipelines, automate labeling workflows, and apply data augmentation to overcome data scarcity.
• Conduct R&D experiments using digital twins or simulation to evaluate new techniques.
• Help optimize TrueLight’s AI/ML tech stack, including data storage, compute, and training workflows.
• Document designs, results, and best practices, and communicate effectively across teams.

Requirements

What you’ll bring:

• Degree in Engineering, AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Foundations in machine learning and computer vision.
• Strong Python skills with frameworks/tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and collaborative software practices.
• Problem-solving ability, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.

Benefits

Wage: $35-47.50/hour (Intermediate), any hours worked over 40 in a week are paid at 1.5 times your regular hourly rate, 3% company matching RRSP
