Plexus International / Apparatus Global Services (Canadian subsidiary of Plexus International) are global leaders in providing training, assessment, and consulting services for organizations to accelerate quality management and business efficiency. Our experienced team is responsible for building and supporting global initiatives through the development of custom-tailored web-based tools and technologies.
We are currently looking for a Business Systems Integration & QA Analyst for our London, Ontario team.
Role/Responsibilities:
Work closely and collaborate with project managers, software architects and developers to understand business and functional requirements, as well as technical considerations.
Take a lead role in completing QA tasks and improving QA procedures.
Develop and document QA Plans and necessary training/procedures in conjunction with all applicable stakeholders (local and global) to support others in completing implementation and QA tasks.
Introduce and automate new QA tools and testing methods.
Verify and coordinate QA fixes and adjustments
Ability to support other team members with implementation tasks as needed.
Assist with researching and implementing solutions to improve business processes/flow. Work with stakeholders to identify areas in need of improvement and prepare development proposals.
Provide support and guidance for new tools, solutions, processes, and systems.
Maintain an up-to-date global project roadmap.
Coordinate use of issue tracking software (e.g., JIRA or similar) to track development tasks that arise as a result of QA and follow-up through to completion and verification.
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements
Essential:
5+ years experience managing quality assurance/software testing projects. (Includes creating test plans, incident reports, and test result documentation and analysis).
Essential:
5+ years demonstrated experience performing and coordinating software QA tasks (Considering component, integration, system and acceptance testing across test types including functional, usability, and regression).
Essential:
Experience writing automated test scripts
Important:
Knowledge of the following programming environments, languages and tools: Microsoft .NET (C#), Javascript, Selenium, etc.
Important:
Experience with bug tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, TestRail
Important:
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Selenium
Important:
Experience with API testing tools
Important:
Knowledge of related to automated testing pipelines
Important:
Understanding of web-based application architectures
Important:
Knowledge of browser dev tools and cross-browser testing strategies
Important:
Able to work both in a team environment & individually on assigned tasks (on site and remotely)
Important:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Asset:
Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to validate backend data
Asset:
Familiarity with version control systems
Asset:
Ability to coordinate and work with stakeholders to flush out project requirements and provide clear documentation to ensure shared understanding.
Asset:
Experience with full-stack web development and debugging (both frontend and backend development work).
