We are looking for a Director, Collaboration and Connectivity to lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of Canada Life’s end-user collaboration, messaging, and workplace connectivity services.
This role plays a critical leadership position in shaping the modern digital workplace, ensuring employees have secure, reliable, and intuitive tools that enable productivity, connection, and collaboration—wherever they work.
The Director will report to the AVP, End User Technology, and will partner closely with Security, Architecture, Network, Real Estate, and key business stakeholders across the enterprise.
What you will do
- Own the enterprise collaboration and connectivity strategy, roadmap, and service catalogue, ensuring alignment with Canada Life’s End User Strategy and business priorities.
- Act as product owner for collaboration platforms and services, driving value-based prioritization and continuous improvement.
- Lead the evolution of workplace collaboration experiences, ensuring scalability, resilience, and employee-centric design.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with a strong product-management mindset.
- Oversee core collaboration and connectivity services, including:
- Microsoft 365 collaboration and messaging platforms
- Workplace conferencing, meeting room technologies and digital signage capabilities
- Voice and messaging
- Workplace connectivity ensuring availability for end user services
- Ensure services meet high standards for availability, security, performance, and adoption.
- Partner with operational service providers to ensure effective day-to-day delivery and continuous optimization.
- Ensure collaboration and connectivity services meet risk, compliance, audit, and security requirements.
- Champion change management and adoption, ensuring employees realize the full value of collaboration investments.
- Track service performance, user experience, and business outcomes using meaningful metrics.
What you bring
- 8+ years of progressive experience in end-user technology, collaboration platforms, or digital workplace services, including senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise collaboration and connectivity platforms.
- Demonstrated success delivering technology services using a service-as-a-product approach.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and associated network services.
- Experience with enterprise voice, meeting room technologies.
- Ability to balance strategy, architecture, security, and operational excellence.
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in large, complex environments with multiple partners and in a federated model.
- A collaborative, inclusive leader who motivates teams and drives results.
The base salary for this position is between $128,200 - $178,200 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
