As the CAD Design Intern, you'll be providing assistance to other members of the manufacturing team with tasks including creating and modifying 2D technical drawings and 3D models, developing assembly diagrams, and providing support for product development. The co-op is an 8 - 12 month term at our headquarters in London, Ontario

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

CAD Modeling and Drafting:

  • Create and modify 2D technical drawings, 3D part models, and assembly diagrams using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Design Support:

  • Assist product development by creating designs from sketches, concepts, or specifications.

Documentation & Revisions:

  • Revise existing CAD files and drawings based on feedback and markups. Prepare and maintain documentation.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and meet project specifications.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and project requirements as well as adhering to proper document revision controls.

Who you are?

  • A student of Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electronical Engineering Technology
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
  • Skilled in producing accurate and precise technical drawings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Able to understand design specifications and apply them to CAD models and drawings.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment.
