About the Role

For the initial ramp-up phase of our North American operations, we are looking for a passionate Senior Specialist in the field of Capacity Management who wants to CELLebrate in fast-paced and fast-changing environments. As part of the ramp-up team, you will work closely with local PowerCo team members, our PowerCo SE team members at Headquarters in Germany as well as colleagues from the Volkswagen Group Canada in Ajax, ON. Reporting to the Head of the Senior Manager Central Functions & Value Chain Strategy, you will set up Capacity Management processes required to support the business as needed.

This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.

Key Responsibilities

•    Developing, introducing, controlling, implementing and monitoring the appropriate implementation of company-wide processes for the capacity management system
•    Driving the continuous improvement and strategic evolution of the capacity management methodology and processes, while overseeing the coordination, representation, and effective execution of outcomes.
•    Managing and optimizing strategic supplier capacities for PowerCo and , identifying and leveraging synergy opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
•    Conducting evaluation of suppliers with regard to capacity management issues and independent initiation of the resulting measures
•    Early request and evaluation of supplier capacities, comparison with demands and early initiation of countermeasures
•    Representing procurement interests in cross-functional projects (e.g., specialist groups, etc.), ensuring alignment with project goals and capacity requirements
•    Creating, preparing and presenting reports
•    Collaborating closely with the central Capacity Management team to ensure seamless integration of processes and continuous operational alignment
•    Training new team members on the capacity management system and associated processes, ensuring they understand key methodologies and can effectively contribute to team objectives
•    Spearheading Continuous Improvement initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and process excellence
•    Performing other duties as assigned or as they might pertain to the position
•    Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
