As the Systems Developer, you will be assisting our product applications and development team implement electrical systems via designing, testing, developing and maintaining electrical systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the design, and development of hardware components relating to circuits, enclosures, wiring for challenging environments
- Conduct calculations and analysis in support for electronic designs
- Review and develop PCB layouts for hardware applications
- Design and implement engineering schematic designs and/or changes with respect to control systems hardware and software including
- Select and validate suitable sensors, actuators and electronic components for system integration.
- Complete technical and project administrative documentation using JIRA, Confluence, Word, etc.
- Perform on-site control system and locomotive commissioning at globally located rail yards
- Provide technical and customer support for product applications
Who you are:
- 4+ years of system integration experience
- Possesses an Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls, Electronic or related degree
- Locomotive industry experience and/or understanding of locomotive understanding electrical design is an asset
- Solid understanding of electrical schematics and development
- Knowledge of available off-the-shelf power systems, sensors, electromechanical devices, digital and analog electronics.
- Collaborative, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functional teams
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Potential ability to travel internationally
