Part-time Curriculum Lead - Medical Laboratory Technology Program (MLT)

Note:
This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 15 hours per week) starting November 4, 2024 and ending December 20, 2024.
Duties
: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Fanshawe’s Center for Academic Excellence ( CAE ) and the School of Health Sciences ( HLT ) as a Medical Laboratory Technologist ( MLT ) Subject Matter Expert ( SME ).
Responsibilities:
Prepare the MLT / MLA program’s Credential Validation Service ( CVS ) application and organize the EFG for the CVS application submission
Provide expert feedback on the program’s Learning Outcomes, potential courses, and equipment necessary for student learning
Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to ensure the program meets academic and industry standards
Participate in meetings with the program development team and contribute to strategic planning efforts for the MLT / MLA program
Qualifications
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage professionally with program team and industry partners
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Apt technical and computer skills, with familiarity with educational technologies considered an asset
A self-motivated team player capable of working cooperatively and independently
Strong leadership skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence
Specific Qualifications
Advance Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, and a member of in good standing with the College of Medical Technologists of Ontario ( CMLTO )
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is an asset
Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Subject matter expertise in Medical Laboratory Technology
Comprehensive understanding of the medical laboratory technology field and related experience in educational environment is an asset
