About the Role:
We’re looking for an Application Engineer who’s eager to innovate, collaborate, and grow. As part of a cross-functional team onsite out of our London, Ontario office, you’ll gain the support, mentorship, and tools you need to thrive with growth opportunities across our global business. You will have the opportunity to support our sales leaders and customers in drafting proposals and working with application technology in the municipal industries!
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Lead Technical Strategy: Develop and own the technical bid strategy for innovative applications and demonstration systems from concept to submission.
- Collaborate with Partners: Research and engage external partners or third-party offerings to enhance our competitive position and better meet client needs.
- Mitigate Risks: Identify technical risks in project offerings, evaluate their impact, and craft strategic mitigation plans while aligning with business goals.
- Drive Precision: Perform critical calculations to size equipment, define the scope of work, and ensure process designs meet customer objectives—all while maintaining a competitive cost structure.
- Deliver Excellence: Prepare and manage high-quality bid documents, consolidating technical descriptions, pricing, and timelines for seamless and successful submissions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Education: BS degree in Engineering (discipline-specific as required).
- Experience: Hands-on experience in municipal water/wastewater applications.
- Expertise in performing process and equipment design calculations, particularly with advanced oxidation (ozone, UVAOP) or filtration technologies.
- A proven ability to read, interpret, and influence technical specifications and drawings for water treatment projects.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working directly with customers to understand and meet their technical needs
Preferred:
- Knowledge of related water treatment technologies (e.g., dissolved air flotation, granular media filtration, coagulation, or ion exchange).
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals and influence project specifications.
- Market awareness and the ability to use customer insights, competitor strategies, and industry trends to enhance technical proposals.
- Proven ability to facilitate seamless project transitions, conduct technical reviews, and develop tools for costing and sizing.
