Job Description

Position Summary

Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing customers in assigned territories for the purpose of positioning, marketing, promoting, and ultimately selling Trojan productswhile contributing to overall arena market and product strategies

Accountabilities

  • Meet/exceed agreed upon sales targets for assigned territory (quotes, bids, orders, pricing).
  • Point of contact for customers during all order acquisition project phases (feasibility, design, bid)
  • Prepare specifications, proposals and quotations for consulting engineers and municipalities.
  • Utilize standard tools to size UV systems for municipal applications
  • Provide Input to the Regional Sales Manager on bid pricing and strategy
  • Respond to all UV system procurement requests including detailed documentation review (RFQ, RFP, Specification), preparation of timely and precise responses, often in a high-pressure environment to meet hard deadlines.
  • Supplement the RSM(s) representing Trojan in presentations to engineering consulting firms, municipalities, and at tradeshows promoting UV processes generally and Trojan product lines specifically.
  • Serves as liaison between external customers and other functional areas within Trojan throughout the design and implementation phases – ensuring that technical and /or administrative matters are, from a customer perspective, handled seamlessly – ensures that the RSM is kept apprised of any potentially adverse relationship issues.
  • Assists in the development, maintenance and monitoring of metrics for evaluation of Sale Representative performance.
  • Assists the RSM(s) in recommending forecasts, goals, strategy and objectives for sales revenue in assigned territories
  • Provides input to marketing and other internal customers from interactions with external customers.

Qualifications:

Qualifications required:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field of Engineering or technology
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships with consulting engineers and customers
  • Experience in a technical or customer facing role an asset
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tool considered an asset
  • Ability to understand, civil drawings and hydraulic plant profiles for purposes of UV system retrofit
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as productive member of team.
  • Required to travel in assigned territory up to 25%
