Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $40 - $48 base salary. OT paid out after 40 hours at 1.5 x hourly rate. Sundays or stats paid at 2 x hourly rate. 3% Employer Matching RRSP
Position Summary
We’re seeking experts in Rockwell/AB PLCs / HMIs and interfacing with Fanuc robots. Experience with Toyopuc, Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, and Kollmorgen would be valuable assets as well. As part of our vibrant and professional team, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing functional PLC and HMI programs, pioneering IO interfacing, and ensuring our systems meet CSA Standards. You’ll mentor emerging programmers in automation integration, program and test state-of-the-art PLCs and automated servo motion systems, and work with the latest tools and technologies.
You’ll also be involved in integrating and troubleshooting control devices, while also working on IIoT devices required for key data analytics. Plus, you’ll be a crucial link within our Industry 4.0 data offerings, working with customer lineside SQL databases and providing essential programming support.

Requirements
About You
Education & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and/or sufficient industry experience and training
- Minimum 5 years PLC experience in automation or custom machine build field
- Strong experience in independently programming machines from the ground up on new builds
- Priority will be given to candidates who are also familiar with Magna standards and robotic programming in automation
- Computer Expertise: Windows11, MS Office, PLC Programming software, HMI Programming software, Robot SIM software, Solidworks
- Knowledge of custom machine building and processes including robotics, vision, laser, assembly, welding, etc.
- Structured text programming experience such as Python, C, C#, etc
- Ability to work openly in a team environment and communicate ideas and problems clearly to projects team
- Strong ability to work with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 software and Factory Talk View HMI development. (Additional controller platforms will be considered an advantage)
- Understanding of Ontario Electrical Code and Electrical Circuits
- Knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic circuit function
- Understanding of robot integration and safety features.
- Capability to create and design a robot program out of the box, not just maintain and troubleshoot an existing program.
- Familiarity with common industrial networking protocols
- Knowledge of CSA Safety Standards
