Hospital Information System (HIS) Regional Relationships

 

 

The Business Systems Analyst is a position that provides customer relationship management and direction in key aspects of project management and business department functional support. The responsibilities include systems design, process and workflow analysis, project oversight and work group delegation skills for the implementation and operational support of software applications within the hospital. This position works in collaboration with business or clinical departments to define problems, develop alternatives, assess impacts and lead the delivery of the recommended solutions. The incumbent is considered a subject matter expert on their respective applications and provides guidance and expertise to applicable team member(s). 

 

Status: Regular Full-time

 

Rate of Pay: $47.57 per hour - $59.45 per hour

 

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

 

Qualifications

 
  • College certificate (2 years) in Computer Sciences, or health related field, or equivalent as accepted by the Hospital
  • University degree preferred
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience
  • Demonstrated ability to research and assimilate a large quantity of technical information into practical, business solutions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time management, ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Solid understanding of business and clinical workflow analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, mapping solutions and system design
  • Understanding of technology and how it can be applied in a clinical environment an asset
  • Experience with established clinical or corporate application systems and clinical or business processes
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business and systems process re-design
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
