Want to ensure the world has the clean water it needs? Then become part of the team that’s making it happen.

In this role, you will join our Project Engineering Team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will focus on the mechanical design of custom components and subsystems for MuniUV products. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all customer requirements are met efficiently and accurately. You will bring your expertise in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and a deep understanding of UV Reactor Systems to the team. This role also requires strong collaboration with Project Managers, Coordinators, and other engineering teams to ensure all technical and customer specifications are successfully achieved.

In this role, you will:

  • Review custom BOMs, Build Sheets, and System Layout Drawings for TrojanUV product lines (open and closed vessel UV systems).

  • Provide support to Project Managers by updating BOMs, creating P/Ns, and making recommendations on site layouts and customer specifications.

  • Design custom mechanical components such as SST channels, inlet/outlet boxes, weir gates, flow conditioners, racks, and fittings.

  • Review and approve engineering notifications (ENs) for SCC releases and ensure proper inclusion of planner codes.

  • Check and approve drawings and ENs from other team members, addressing any production issues or corrections.

  • Review and resolve project-specific issues, including deviations from QA or suppliers, and process stop orders.

  • Estimate costs for custom designs and communicate with sales on existing or new components.

  • Provide guidance on mechanical and structural design using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

  • Conduct hydraulic analysis for systems and components using specialized tools.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by updating configurators and optimizing design solutions.

Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant technology and equivalent experience.

  • At least three to five years work experience with progressively more leadership duties.

  • MS Office 365, 2010 or later (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
Adobe Acrobat Reader/9 Pro or later.

  • SolidWorks 2022 x64 Edition, AutoCAD 2014 or later.

We offer:

  • Flexible Work Hours: Designed to support work-life balance.

  • Career Growth: Access to mentorship, development programs, and technical leadership pathways.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health coverage, retirement plans, and 15 days vacation.

  • Purposeful Work: Be part of a mission to safeguard the world’s most vital resources.
