We are currently hiring a full-time Vice President, Enterprise data & AI to support our London Administration team. This job posting is for a newly created position.
The Vice President, Enterprise Data & AI is a strategic, forward-looking leader responsible for shaping and executing Libro’s enterprise-wide data and artificial intelligence strategy. This role drives the transformation of data into an asset that fuels member value, operational excellence, risk management, and innovation.
The Vice President acts as the enterprise steward for data governance, advanced analytics, AI enablement, and data platform modernization, ensuring responsible, ethical, and secure use of data across the organization.
The Role:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Enterprise Data & AI Strategy aligned with Libro’s strategic priorities and cooperative values.
- Lead the evolution of Libro into a more data-informed, AI-enabled organization, championing literacy, adoption, and cultural change.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and AI to enhance Owner experience, improve operational efficiency, and support growth.
- Establish and oversee enterprise data governance frameworks, including data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, and compliance programs.
- Define and implement policies for responsible, ethical, and transparent use of AI, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and emerging standards.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and IT to manage AI-related risks and ensure models are explainable, fair, and auditable.
- Lead the modernization of Libro’s data platforms (e.g., data lake, data warehouse, MDM, analytics tools) to enable secure, scalable, and high-quality data capabilities.
- Collaborate with Technology teams on architecture, integration, cloud strategy, and platform governance.
- Oversee data operations, engineering practices, and the lifecycle of AI/ML models from experimentation to deployment.
- Guide the development of advanced analytics, predictive models, and AI/ML use cases that deliver measurable business value.
- Elevate the enterprise’s ability to generate actionable insights for decision-making across credit, risk, finance, marketing, operations, and Owner experience.
- Build and lead high-performing teams in data engineering, data governance, data science, analytics, and AI product management.
- Partner with business leaders to identify data and AI opportunities and translate them into practical solutions.
- Influence senior leadership with clear storytelling and insight-driven recommendations.
- Develop relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry bodies to stay ahead of emerging technologies and regulatory changes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of progressive experience in data management, analytics, or AI leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with credit unions, is highly desirable.
- Proven success leading an enterprise data or AI transformation program.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, cloud data platforms, data engineering, and modern analytics tools.
- Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management, responsible AI frameworks, and model risk governance.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to data privacy, consumer protection, and model risk.
- Deep understanding of enterprise-level challenges and the ability to design scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 10 years in a senior leadership role related to data management, analytics or AI.
- Understanding of Azure and related cloud technologies.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to data privacy, consumer protection, and model risk.
- Experience in the Microsoft stack is an asset
