The Manager, Research Operations position is tasked with supporting the seamless and compliant execution of research activities while enhancing the efficiency and throughput of high-quality research at the assigned site. This role coordinates the effective utilization of resources and space, supports researchers by facilitating access to essential services, and collaborates with clinical leaders to integrate research with clinical care. Responsibilities encompass human resource management, ensuring adherence to safety standards, compliance with regulations, and overseeing budgetary and financial operations. Additionally, the Manager contributes to innovation and strategic planning, cultivates partnerships, and upholds the organization's academic mandate while implementing best practices to foster a productive and safe research environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related or science field, with progressive experience in research or health care (minimum 3 years) and demonstrated leadership experience (minimum 2 years).
- Comprehensive knowledge of research operations, including compliance, regulation, safety requirements, equipment, space, and resource coordination.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and support high-performing teams while fostering a healthy, inclusive, and service-oriented work environment.
- Strong organizational, financial, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and deliver excellent customer-oriented service.
- A self-starter with sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and a demonstrated ability to lead change, quality improvement, and continuous growth in support of the organization's mission.
- Commitment and ability to act as a supervisor under OHSA, including maintaining research safety standards and handling confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters level education in Science, Healthcare, Management or Business
- Proficiency in French would be an asset

- St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
